Sambo is a dynamic martial art, combat sport, and self-defense system with deep roots in Russian sporting and cultural tradition. Its name literally translates as "self-defense without weapons"
It combines elements from various wrestling and grappling styles, making it highly multifaceted and adaptable. Sambo requires not just strength and flexibility, but quick decision-making and creative problem-solving under pressure.
Here, training goes beyond technique to include self-control, deep respect for opponents, and the core philosophical values that make Sambo far more than a sport.
"Sambo in Granite" is an international initiative that brings the spirit of Sambo to life through dedicated Sambo Centers — places where athletes don’t just learn throws and submissions, but absorb a complete system
Our goal is to expand and strengthen the international sambo community and bring together people from different countries through shared passion for the sport
